These terms apply to the Dhikr Android app ("the app") and this website. By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. The app

Dhikr is a free Tasbih / dhikr counter. It has no ads, no in-app purchases and no account system. It is provided for personal, non-commercial use.

2. Licence to use

You may install and use the app on your own devices. You may not sell the app, pass it off as your own, or remove its attribution.

3. Religious content

The built-in dhikr texts, translations and any AI-generated "virtues / benefits" notes are offered as a convenience. They may contain mistakes. They are not religious rulings. Please check with a qualified scholar or a reliable source for matters of religious practice.

4. Optional online features

• AI benefits: uses your own Google Gemini API key. You are responsible for that key and for any usage or charges on your Google account. Google's terms apply to those requests.
• Cloud sync: uses your own Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive account. You are responsible for that account. The provider's terms apply to the stored file.

Both features are off until you turn them on. See the Privacy Policy for details.

5. Your data

Your data stays on your device unless you export it or turn on cloud sync. You are responsible for keeping backups. Clearing app storage or uninstalling the app deletes local data.

6. Reminders and widgets

Reminder notifications depend on your device. Battery saver modes, notification settings or system restrictions can delay or block them. We do not guarantee that a reminder will arrive on time.

7. No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind. We do not promise that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that counts and history will never be lost.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the developer is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the app, including lost data or missed reminders.

9. Downloads

Until the app is on Google Play, builds are published on GitHub Releases. Download only from that page. We are not responsible for copies from other sources.

10. Changes

We may update the app or these terms. The "Last updated" date above will change. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
